The Future of Letchworth Garden City

At the Heritage Foundation, our vision is to ensure that living in Letchworth Garden City offers everyone the opportunity to thrive as part of a vibrant community enjoying the balance of town and country, benefitting from easy access to nature and unrivalled facilities, culture, and support.

We have been working collaboratively with organisations and communities across the town to make Letchworth a great place to grow up, live, and work and we would like to explore how we can develop this further.

This event will detail the journey so far, the collaborations that have been formed and how this has aided the journey. We will create space for discussions about how we can work collectively and identify our roles in the future-proofing of the town.

We have a packed agenda of topics that we’d really value your personal and professional input on.  The agenda includes:

The cost-of-living crisis has created more urgency – it is time for us to do something proactive?
Protecting our thriving high street.
Are our nature areas being preserved?
Do we need more volunteering opportunities for our community?
Is homelessness and low housing provision an issue?

Our aim is to learn from you, and in turn bring you up to date with the journey so far; then work collaboratively with you to create a future for Letchworth Garden City that we are all proud of.

Join us to see your role in the journey, to a better place to grow and thrive!

Our presenters will be:

Amanda Kilroy; Collaborate CIC

Collaborate is one of the agencies onboarded to support this vision to take our programme to the next phase and begin embedding the framework and infrastructure

Fiona Grant; Research and Evaluation Manager

Fiona will be Sharing some information from Census 2021 and other useful sources which helps us to better understand the town.

Graham Fisher; Chief Executive
