Great Place to Grow Up is a partnership movement that is one part of the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation’s strategic priorities for 2028. This programme is designed to work with local partners, organisations and charities via our grants programme to support with: targeted funding, securing national funding and practical resources to assist promotion.
We believe the world’s first Garden City should be the best place to grow up, and we have developed this programme guided by the voices of children, young people & families. With a strong network of partner organisations that deliver vital activities and services within the community, and consideration of our target demographic, we have identified six key areas with dedicated staff leading each area of work: Culture, Learning, Health, Leisure, Nature, and Prosperity.
