Dr. Strangelove, part of the Kubrick Season for Letchworth Festival

Letchworth Festival

Part of the Kubrick season, brought to you by Letchworth Festival and Young Film Programmers.

Young Film Programmers celebrates the singular genius of Stanley Kubrick, a filmmaker whose uncompromising dedication to perfection reshaped the possibilities of cinema. There are 5 films in this special season, all showing in June during the Letchworth Festival. All tickets are £7 for the Kubrick film season.

About this film:

A mentally unstable American general orders a hydrogen bomb attack on the Soviet Union, triggering a path to global nuclear holocaust that a war room full of politicians and generals frantically tries to stop. Dr. Strangelove is a powerful satire, which employs humour and a masterful series of performances by Peter Sellers to depict the absurdities of warfare.
