Letchworth and
District Astronomical Society (LDAS) will be setting up our telescopes in Leys
Square where, Sun permitting, you will be able to safely view our nearest
star. We will have a range of telescopes on display and society members
will be there to help answer your astronomy questions and offer advice on
buying/setting up a telescope.
LDAS are located at
Standalone farm in Letchworth where we hold our monthly meetings on the last
Wednesday. Our primary aim is to educate and enlighten the public about all
aspects of astronomy. We also perform many outreach events with local
schools/Cubs/Brownies/Scouts/Guides and other youth groups.
